It has been several weeks since the blog has been update we are sorry about that. We have several new projects we have been working on.

The first are these great twilight inspired bookmarks Amie has been working on. Both have pewter charms, Swarovski crystal, clear spacer beads and red grosgrain ribbon. Any twilight fan would love these don’t you think? As the listing says (it is cleaver if I do say so myself) Take a little Forks with you wherever you go!

I have been working on these mini scrapbooks. Several weeks ago a person who comes into where I work asked me a question could you make a mini scrapbook? While I do them all the time, she wanted one had in a similar way to one she already had. This is where the challenge came it, it was constructed differently than any scrapbook I have ever seen. I welcomed the challenge of figuring out how to make t similar, while still putting my own stamp on it! It was really fun to make it was a great fathers card gift.

I will be making some soon for the shop.

These are 4 x 6 mini albums all with a different colored printed paper. Here are a few pictures. The albums are a total of 12 pages (included front and back cover).

Last week she came to me and asked if I could make another one for her Mother in Law. I decided to mix it up a bit make a few changes to how it works, discovers some cardstock is better for this folding then others (but that is a story for a different day).

New Mothers Day and Fathers Day Cards

Birthday Card .....

Recently I have been working on a few projects for friends. Here is one of those projects. I made this card for a co-workers granddaughters birthday. It was a first for me using the Sure Cuts A Lot (SCAL) program for the cricut machine. I do love that program. It allowed me to cut out anything I can dream up, you gotta love something that will do that for you. So Britney is going to be 8, and this is what i came up with.

What do you all think of it? A few people told me I should make a version for the etsy shop, I'm not sure though. So tell me should I offer it or not?

Our update!

I know it has been over a month since you last update. We have been so busy with other life activities that we haven't been able to update the blog, so here I am again trying to catch you all up on what is going on with the store. We are in the middle of creating some new and fun items for the store.

I am making some fun baby scrapbooks perfect for all of those firsts in a babies life. A few of our fans have seen the albums I have made and have encouraged me to put them in the store so I have obliged. Those should be in the store in the next few weeks.

We also should have some Mother's Day and Fathers day Cards listed very soon.

There will be some new cards, some bookmarks and maybe even some other surprises coming soon.

We appreciate all of the support and encouragement we get from our fans and customers. If there is anything you think we should offer, or that you would like made special for you don't hesitate to contact us!

We've Been Busy ....

Here at A and R Design Studio we have been really busy. Both Amie and I have been doing some custom orders. I made a set for 5 Valentine’s Day cards for my friend Keiko (Thanks Keiko). They were similar to this card HERE. I have also been designing a new logo and stamp for the backs of our items. It took much longer to create than I thought but we do really like it, and I hope everyone else does too.

Amie has been busy making 2 custom orders. One set of thank you cards which turned out great, but, unfortunately no pictures were taken. She got this custom orders for 20 flat notecards, stamped and embossed. She is also completing some great Twilight bookmarks. I think all of your twilight fans will love them. She also will have some great non twilight options for everyone else.

We are busy trying to add some new items to the store. Look for some new notecards from Amie along with the bookmarks. I should be adding some cards very soon. I am hoping to have an entire line of argyle (my favorite pattern) cards within the next few weeks. Also we are planning some great Mothers and Fathers Day.

Whats New at A and R Design Studio

Jut a mere month ago I said that I was hoping to update this blog more, and it seems that I'm not off to a good start. I will work to harder to keep you all updated on what is happening with the store.

I made a custom Christmas album, which took much more time than I thought it would, but it turned out great. Again I forgot to take pictures.

Right now I am working on two projects a custom order of some Valentines day cards for a co-worker and designing a stamp for the backs of all of our items. Both will be done this weekend! The stamp is proving to be more fun than I thought it would be.

Amie has been making some terrific bookmarks. (For you Twilight Fans she makes some great Twilight themed ones). They will be in the store soon, as soon as she unpacks from her recent move. We hope to have them in the store very soon and there will be a blog post about them!

Newest Valentines Day Cards

Hi all blog readers. since you are all so great to come and check out what we are up to, I thought I would give you all a sneak peek of our newest cards. These two new Valentines Day cards will be posted on etsy this weekend but I thought I would share it will our blog readers first.

This first one is a lovely pink and red card. It is a great valentines day cars but would also be great anytime of the year.

The second is a a personal favorite. I love arglye, I honestly think there is no pattern better than argyle. I also love the colors in this paper. Don't be surpised it i don't design a line of cards based on this paper, that is how much I love it.

We have other projects going on. I'm working on a custom christmas album and Amie has some great new bookmarks we will be premiering really soon.

New Year ... New Items

Happy New Year Everyone.

I have been neglecting this blog. It has been a buys few months but it is my resolution to spend more time updating our friends, family and fans on what we have coming up. I have been working ona few custom albums and I hope to get those picutres posted later this weekend. I have also been working on some valentines day cards which will be posted very soon, maybe even today!

I hope everyone has a great new year and stay turned we will ahve some fun, and maybe unexpected new items in the next few weeks!

What We have Been up to ....

So it has been a while since we updated everyone on what has been going on with us. We have been working a lot of projects so just haven't been updated the blog as much as we should. So to make up for that this will be a long post showing you all the things we have been working on lately.

About a month ago I created two scrapbooks for an auction at a non-profit daycare. They were super fun to make and I did love them. People apparently liked them so that made me rather happy.

We also created a few new Holiday Items for the store.

The first is a set of snowflake cards. The happy Holidays is prined on the cards and then the snowflakes were hand stamped and embossed. I do really love these cards.

The last thing we made was this Holiday scrapbook. I love this too. I love the paper!

Welcome to a new edition of Etsy store of the week. I know it has been a while since I have done a new one, so i hope this one makes it worth the wait.

Caras Scraps and Stamp Art is a great store with some of the most amazing cards and paper crafts. She has way more great things then I can show you, so head on over there and check her out.

So on to a few of my favorite items:

This is a great sock monkey gift card holder. The holidays are getting closer and everyone loves a gift card but there is never a cute way to present them, well here is one. Plus who doesn't love a sock monkey, I know I do.

This set of cards of snowflake holiday cards are great. I the snowflake and the embossing are amazing. I love the filigree on the center of the snowflakes. This would be a great set of cards to send or add to a gift.

This third item is a great exploding birthday card. It is a very unique card, but it is also very pretty! It is perfect for that person who loves fashion or purses!

The last item I'm going to highlight is this great set of snowflake Holiday cards (I sense a theme). I just love the colors, the snowflakes and the swirls.

It is never too early to start looking for Holiday cards. These are the first two of what we hope will be several holiday card offerings for everyone this holiday season

The first is a set of Hanukkah cards. I love the mix of blue and white. There is some great white and yellow vellum paper backing the image of these cards.

The second set of cards are these great Christmas trees.

I used the same vellum as above but these cards also have the great gems decorating the tree.

Etsy Item of the Week: Jacqueline’s Creations

These have got to be the best earrings ever. The best thing about Halloween in my book is candy corn, so this set of earrings would be perfect for the coming Halloween season. The earrings measure 2" long and 7/8" wide.

Who doesn't love a butterfly? This beautiful silver toned necklace would be a great addition to anyone's collection. I love everything about this necklace. It is a great length 16 inches, and has a lobster claw clasp.

I love these peanut butter and jelly earrings. They look good enough to eat, don't you think? I have never seen anything so fun. These are hand molded with polymer clay then sealed.

The last item I'm going to feature this week is this elegant clear floral necklace. I love classic, clean silver jewelry and this fits the bill. I love the pattern of the floral medallion. It has a great length of 20 inch.

Lemon Drop Studio has some of the coolest things in her shop. I love them all but I think the must have items are her Skull cards and tags, perfect for Halloween, birthdays or anytime!

These skull cards are terrific, who wouldn't want to get one (or maybe all three) of these amazing cards. I like them so much, but I couldn't decide which color I liked the most so I'm featuring all of them.

First Custom Order ....

I have been working for the last few days on a custom order for a friend Meriwether. She asked for some customized notebooks. They were really fun to make. I do really hope she likes them. Thanks Meriwether for the really fun custom order.

I made three notebooks. Each of the notebooks has 50 pages of lined paper. The paper was printed on standard printer paper and then hand cut to size.

New Notecard Line

We have been working really hard the last few weeks to develop a series of flat notecards. Some are personalized some are not. It was really fun for me to create these notecards. Flat Flower Notecard:
The envelopes are a great peacock blue. There are some great flower and name color choices too!

Flat Swirl Notecard: The envelopes are slate grey and also had some great color choices.

Flat Color Corrdinated Note Cards. I love how I stripes and the font color coordinate with the envelopes.

Another Busy Week!

There has been a lot of things going on with us at A and R Design Studio. We have been working on a few new item which will be in the store soon. I'm sure everyone is going to love the new items.

We received our first custom order yesterday. I am really excited to make these three fun themed notebooks.

Last Week I won this great giveaway at Lemon Drop Studio. It was this set of Monkey magnets created by Tommie of Oh My Glue Stick. Busy Week ....

It has been a busy week for us, most of it was not store related but necessary and fun. I had to work on a few projects for school and Amie played hostess to our Brother Kevin and two nieces, Kristal and April. Mine was necessary, Amie's was fun.

Amie also spent last week working on several new items for the store. The first is the very unique card, that I absolutely love. It is this great Tri-fold, pull out card. I love the way it turned out.

Amie also made some great die cuts. Using her Cuttlebug, nestabilities and this terrific glitter cardstock she made several different sizes of diecuts. One set of them have already sold but I think we will be listed them again soon.

New week.... New Cards ....

On the heels of the first sale several new single cards and a card set have been listed.

These are the single cards that were listed today. I love all the paper, it is bright but not too bright. I love it when I can add ribbon to a card, even better is when I get to add some ink to the edges and add ribbon!

We also listed this great set of thank you cards. It s really fun making these. I love anytime I can break out my cuttlebug and emboss some paper. I love the combination of the black and pink.

First Sale ....

A and R Design Studio made our first sale today. Ironically it is the same day I wanted to start the blog. My dear friend Carrie bought this super cute set of cards made by Amie.

If you look at this and say well I wish I had seen this item, you are in luck, there is another set of these cards at the store right now. It is slightly different, it has an orange base instead of red but is exactly the same in all other ways!
